Sing Yourself - Vocal Improvisation

Vocal improvisation is singing outside the lines.  It is accessing the music that is naturally within each of us and letting it out to play.  What if that little hum you were humming while doing the dishes decided to sprout wings?  Maybe that rhythm you were tapping on the table as you waited wants the chance to grow!

At Sing YourSelf Acapella Vocal Improvisation workshops, participants will learn how to create melody, harmony and vocal percussion to compose spur-of-the moment original music,  and they will be encouraged to experiment and to play.  They will learn to trust both the people around them and their own voices.  There is no such thing as a wrong note, and each piece is a never-before and never-again heard masterpiece, uniquely created through the people, emotions, weather, personal situations, friendships, tears, new relationships, energy, laughter and joy contained in that moment in time.

Sing YourSelf workshops can last an evening, a weekend or longer, but the impact of learning to honestly and actually "sing like no one's listening" could last a lifetime.
