I sat down to do some administrative work and some lesson preparation, and got pulled into the vortex that is YouTube.  No mystery there.

Friday night my husband and I went to see Spiritus Chamber Choir perform their holiday concert, Illuminate.  It was one of the highlights of my music-listening life.

Tonight my eldest son and my husband are at a professional soccer game in the UK.  There is a phenomenon in the sporting world outside of North America that requires some consideration by the music world.

I was at the preschool the other day and this little guy - four years old with a sweet sweet face like a Raphael painting - was humming to himself all morning.  Of course it made me happy all over.  Then, in the middle of nothing at all, he breaks into "Video Killed the Radio Star".  Well, I'm STILL beaming on the inside at the thought!

It continues to astound me how many adults tell me the same story; they are convinced that they can't carry a tune in a bucket.  (I know that's a cliche phrase but it's one I like).  If that sounds like you, I assure you that you are almost definitely wrong.
